FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What about TÜV?

With the mounting method of our Clubsport struts, registration is not required. Only the seat adjustment would require individual approval.

Several customers have reported to us that removing the rear seat bench went smoothly for them.

Is the strut made of real carbon?

Our carbon struts are made from the highest quality carbon. Many people think that the struts are simply wrapped or laminated with carbon, but ours are genuine full carbon struts with a wall thickness of 2 mm. This construction ensures exceptional strength and makes the struts virtually unbreakable. They are manufactured using the pre-preg process, which has the advantage of using very little resin in the carbon. This makes the struts even lighter while retaining their strength.

Can the back seat stay inside?

The Clubsport kits we currently offer require the rear seat bench to be removed, as our kits bolt to the original rear seatback mounting points. This approach is designed to save weight.

We've been asked several times whether we could offer a set that simply fits in the parcel shelf, as many people want to use it primarily for show purposes. We're currently working on developing such a "show set."

How does the initial installation process work if my car is not yet listed on the website and I have to come by?

If you can't find your car on our website, please contact us via the contact form, Instagram, or Facebook. We'll then schedule an appointment at our workshop. You bring your car by, and we'll take care of everything the same day.

First, we remove the rear seat, take all the necessary measurements, and cut a carpet template. This step takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. After that, you can take your car with you again, perhaps to get something to eat.

Meanwhile, we'll fabricate your Clubsport struts, sew the carpet, and sew the Clubsport mesh—this part takes about 2.5-3 hours. When you return, we'll install everything, take some pictures of your car and your new Clubsport kit, and your car is ready!

How/where are the struts attached?

The struts are attached to the original screw points on the rear seat backrest. This allows for easy plug-and-play installation and ensures the struts are securely held in place.
